Adaptive Coolant Flow is an application that automatically optimizes the flow rate of high‑pressure coolant according to the cutting tool used during machining. It consists of software that calculates and controls the optimal coolant flow, and hardware that precisely adjusts and delivers the required flow rate.
In conventional machining, high‑pressure coolant units typically discharged coolant at maximum pressure, consuming excessive amounts of coolant and therefore large amounts of electrical power. With Adaptive Coolant Flow, it is possible to reduce the power consumption of the high‑pressure coolant pump while maintaining both tool life and surface quality of the workpiece.
