Double serration structure for superior machining stability
This grooving system supports grooving, parting-off, and longitudinal turning. The double serration (patent pending) shape enhances tip holding, and provides stability and longer tool life even under difficult cutting conditions or during longitudinal or intermittent machining.

*Manufacturer: Walter Japan K.K. (Germany)
Features
1. Double serration structure
Provides superior machining stability and extended tool life during various machining processes where the cutting load is applied from the horizontal direction, such as longitudinal turning and intermittent cutting of parts such as camshafts.
2. Features Tiger·tec® Gold, the latest coating technology
The multi-layered coating structure features dense crystalline Al2O3 with superior crater wear resistance and multilayer MT-TiCN coating for excellent toughness and resistance to flank face wear, extending tool life 50% on average.
3. Easy setup
The serration profile differs at the top and bottom to prevent attachment mistakes. The serration profile differs only in the center, preventing left/right tip misalignment.
4. Extensive selection of over 200 tips
Groove widths from 2.5 to 6 mm are supported. The maximum grooving depth is 33 mm and the maximum parting-off diameter is 65 mm. The optimal tip for each application can be selected from 13 types of breaker shapes and seven types of materials.
