3.Why setup know-how is not accumulated as needed.
The standardization of setup work has been considered necessary, but not progressed as smoothly as it was needed. This is because there was no standard system (work process) to easily share the individual circumstantial information including characteristics of workpieces, tools, fixtures and machines.
As one machine has generally been operated by one operator, there was no necessity of sharing information, which is a main reason the standardization has not been facilitated.
