Spinning Tool for rough cutting of hard-to-cut material: highly efficient and long-lasting

Many of the customers who machines hard-to-cut material, including heat-generative stainless with high cutting resistance, may have concerns over machining efficiency and tip sustainability. To tackle these issues, DMG MORI CO., LTD. jointly developed “Spinning Tool (highly-efficient machining tool for hard-to-cut material)” with a longer lifespan with Sumitomo Electric Hardmetal Corporation. Unlike a conventional tool for turning centers, this newly-designed Spinning Tool enables tool rotation to enhance the efficiency in hard-to-cut material machining and extend lifetime of tool tips. This tool is optimal for the aerospace customers among others, who seek for higher accuracy in hard-to-cut material machining.
