Features
1. Tool ready for use in approximately 8 seconds with a runout of 3 µm or less
A unique tooling technology developed by REGO-FIX, powRgrip is easy to use regardless of experience. Experienced and new employees alike can set tooling safely, quickly, and precisely. The powRgrip system consists of a dedicated collet and dedicated holder, with a clamping unit used to assemble the two. Cutting tools can be setup simply with the press of a button on the clamping unit. The total system runout from the tapered portion on the back end of the holder to the tip of the tool (L/D: 3D) is 3 µm or less.
2. Excellent clamping force capable of withstanding up to 1,100 Nm of torque
The highly rigid powRgrip collet and cutting tool are pressed into the holder by the clamping unit at a force of up to 9 tons. powRgrip uses hydraulic pressure for press-fitting, resulting in excellent clamping rigidity that can withstand up to 1,100 Nm of torque, and eliminating concerns over tools dropping even if machining conditions are increased.
3. Excellent vibration resistance and vibration dampening
powRgrip is similar to standard collet holders in that it is a holder that makes use of a collet. However, its structure has been carefully designed with few gaps, to provide excellent tool clamping force and holder rigidity, and superior vibration resistance. powRgrip's greatest strength is that it makes use of a collet. The cutting tool and dedicated collet, and dedicated collet and dedicated holder, are separate parts, and their contact surfaces act to dampen vibration. The dedicated collet and holder are made from different materials, for a total of three materials with different properties when the cutting tool is included. This provides excellent vibration dampening.These factors work together in powRgrip to reduce chattering in the holder.
4. An extensive lineup of products to provide versatility and flexibility
powRgrip supports tools with a shank diameter from 0.2 to 25.4 mm (h6 tolerance), and can be used with tools made from any material, including carbide and high-speed steel. It can be used with tools of various shapes, including straight and cylindrical tools such as Weldon shanks. The standard collet also provides internal coolant supply functionality. It is also compatible with many interfaces, such as HSK, BT, BT+ (BBT), CAT and CAPTO.
