The machine’s highlight is the compactMASTER, an ultra-compact turn & mill spindle. It ensures 170 mm space saving during machining and supports horizontal drilling or boring of workpieces up to 150 mm. An HSK-A63 interface transfers the powerful torque of compactMASTER spindle to the tool. “The milling performance is so impressive that we not only manufacture turn & mill parts on the CTX beta 800 TC but also components requiring pure milling”, as Uwe Glöckler, Head of International Investments at MULTIVAC reports.
