Advantages of Conversational Programming

There are quite a few shop floor owners who hesitate to introduce a CAM system for reasons such as expensive initial cost, uncertainty of customer orders/demand, and time-consuming learning processes (for experienced operators, data input by hand is much faster than that by CAM).
In this article, we will explain the conversational programming function, a standard feature of a machine, as a more convenient and less costly alternative to CAM.

Conversational programming enables operators to automatically create a machining program just by following the guidance on the screen and inputting information necessary for machining, such as a machining geometry and position, tool information, and machining method and conditions. The biggest advantage of the function is convenience and ease of use.
