Hoedtke GmbH & Co. KG is regarded as a pioneer among German laser users and has established itself as a competent partner to demanding industries such as aerospace and automotive.
More than 60 specialists participated in the last Laser Forum at Hoedtke to experience the new LASERTEC 65 3D in a live demonstration. “The ability to produce metal parts with a width of more than 500 mm in an additive process with a high deposition rate opens up entirely new applications”, as Hoedtke insists. “Thanks to the hybrid combination of laser application and machining processes, finished parts are created from nothing. Support geometries, as required in smaller 3D printers, are not needed as the machine with its 5 CNC axes can always orientate the component in the desired direction for deposition. Additionally, different materials such as stainless steel and copper can be combined in a single component”.
