DMG MORI Acquires Naming Rights of Yamato Koriyamajyo Hall

DMG MORI CO., LTD. (hereinafter called DMG MORI) has reached a basic agreement with Yamatokoriyama City today that the company shall acquire the naming rights to Yamatokoriyamajyo Hall located in Yamatokoriyama City, Nara, the birthplace of DMG MORI.
DMG MORI (former MORI SEIKI CO., LTD.) was established in Yamatokoriyama City and began its business as a manufacturer and seller of textile machinery in 1948. Today the company has the important business bases in the city, such as the Nara No. 1 Plant and the Global Parts Center with some 600 employees working in the facilities. DMG MORI concluded a partnership agreement with DMG MORI AG (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany) in April 2015 to become one consolidated group with them. While expanding the vision to the world, we also find it important to deepen a tie with the local community and contribute to the origin of DMG MORI – Yamatokoriyama City and Nara Prefecture. So we determined to acquire the naming rights to the hall.
The Yamatokoriyamajyo Hall is a public facility which has been loved by many users as well as the Yamatokoriyama citizens since its opening in 2001. We hope that our acquisition of the naming rights will be part of help for the facility maintenance and enhancement. DMG MORI continues to strengthen cooperation with and contribution to the local communities.
