Happy Holidays – Machining Process of a Music Box on the CTX beta 450 TC

In our Happy Holidays-film, you saw Santa Claus bringing a music box. In this video, DMG MORI shows how this music box is manufactured on the CTX beta 450 TC with compactMASTER spindle and gearSKIVING 2.0 for gear cutting. In a 6-sided machining process, a complex component is created in a single clamping – without manual re-clamping. The notes were created using additive manufacturing in a powder bed process on a LASERTEC 30 SLM.
