Easier operation for inexperienced and part-time workers tripled the productivity
Machining of a box joint is the first manufacturing process of pliers. It greatly affects accuracy of the final product. The blade’s root requires an accuracy of 0.01mm. However, the machining centers prior to NMVs failed to achieve this accuracy. Therefore, YDM intentionally made one of the two blades bigger. After putting the two sides together, they made an adjustment and achieved the necessary precision. This process required twice the effort.

Left: Machined by the predecessor machine Right: Machined by NMV and CMX
