United Nations Global Compact

DMG MORI signed the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and was registered as a participating company in July 2025. In parallel, we joined the Global Compact Network Japan (GCNJ) made of Japanese companies and organizations that have signed the UNGC.
We are committed to supporting the 10 principles on human rights concerning labor, environment, and anti-corruption set forth by the UNGC, and will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through our corporate activities.
TCFD Recommendations

DMG MORI has declared to adhere to the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
To clearly communicate the risks and opportunities that climate change poses to our business and to all stakeholders, including investors, we will enhance our disclosures in line with the TCFD recommendations, focusing on governance, strategy, risk management, and metrics & targets.
SBT Initiative

DMG MORI received certification from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its greenhouse gas reduction targets for 2030. The SBTi is a global initiative established in 2015 by the United Nations Global Compact, CDP, World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
We will continue to reduce CO2 emissions within our operations and help our customers reduce their emissions by offering environmentally friendly products.
RE100

In August 2025, DMG MORI joined the international environmental initiative RE100 that aims to ensure 100% coverage of electricity for business purposes from renewable sources. This requires us to cover 90% of the Group-wide energy consumption with RE100-compliant energy by 2035 and 100% by 2040.
Japan Climate Initiative

DMG MORI has joined the Japan Climate Initiative (JCI) network for realizing the decarbonization of the environment by reinforcing discussions on climate measures among Japanese companies, communities, and NGOs.
Japan Partnership for Circular Economy

We are participating in the Japan Partnership for Circular Economy (J4CE) initiative that aims at fostering understanding of the circular economy, promoting initiatives, and strengthening public-private partnerships.
Together with our Group companies, DMG MORI CIRCULAR and DMG MORI CASTECH, we are working to recycle casting material recovered from old machines, sheet metal scraps, and scrap from metal processing to be reused as material for new castings.
CDP Ranking (2024)

DMG MORI received a top rating in the CPD 2024 survey and earned a place on the A List for climate action for the first time. This high-level recognition from the global environmental non-profit organization Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) highlights our strong commitment to climate initiatives and transparent environmental disclosures. In the water security category, we once again received a Leadership Level “A-” rating for our proactive approach to identify and manage water risks, as well as our ongoing initiatives in this field.
Declaration of Partnership Building

DMG MORI announced its own “Declaration of Partnership Building” in support of the “Declaration of Partnership Building” established by Japan’s Cabinet Office, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Small and Medium Enterprise Agency and others.
We hereby commit ourselves to building new relationships, fostering mutual prosperity with our supply chain partners through added value, and strengthening existing partnerships.
Health & Productivity Stock Selection 2025

DMG MORI was selected for the second consecutive year for the "Health & Productivity Stock Selection" by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) and the Tokyo Stock Exchange in recognition of its excellent health management. The Health & Productivity Stock Selection includes listed companies that prioritize the health management of their employees from a managerial standpoint and actively engage in strategic health initiatives.
Health & Productivity Management 2025 - White 500

For the third consecutive year, METI and Nippon Kenko Kaigi have recognized DMG MORI as a "White 500" company in the large corporation category of their "Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations Recognition Program 2025.” This program acknowledges corporations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to health management practices.
JPX-Nikkei 400

We have been selected as a constituent of the JPX-Nikkei Index 400, which has been published since 2014 by the Japan Exchange Group (JPX), Tokyo Stock Exchange, and Nikkei Inc. to recognize companies that meet global investment standards.
NIKKEI Sustainable Management Survey, SDGs Edition

We have been awarded a 4.0 rating in the NIKKEI Sustainable Management Survey, SDGs Edition, which evaluates companies that address social, economic, and environmental challenges through their business activities while enhancing corporate value.
NIKKEI Sustainable Management Survey, Smart Work Edition

We have been awarded a 4.5 rating for two consecutive years in the NIKKEI Sustainable Management Survey, Smart Work Edition, which recognizes leading companies that maximize human resources, accelerate investment in talent, foster innovation, and improve productivity while maximizing corporate value.
Next-generation Certification Mark "Kurumin"

In 2007, DMG MORI obtained the Kurumin certification by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare as a company actively engaged in initiatives for next generation development based on the 'Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children.' This certification is awarded to companies that achieve the goals set out in their action plans and is a testament to being recognized as a company that actively supports the balance between work and family life.
