Supplier Management
Introduction of a supplier management platform
With a growing focus on social responsibilities through the supply chain, companies are increasingly required to manage risks related to the environment and human rights across the full scope of their supply chains. At DMG MORI, we utilize the supply chain monitoring platform by Germany’s INTEGRITY NEXT GmbH to assess the legal, financial, and business risks in our supply chain, thereby ensuring a consistent global standard in our due diligence efforts. For 16 sustainability goals such as environmental protection, human rights compliance, and worker health and safety, we cooperate closely with suppliers to identify problems and implement improvement activities.
Through these activities, we familiarize ourselves with the international conventions and rules that companies are requested to comply with and have increased the awareness of compliance throughout the supply chain. We will continue our efforts to build a sustainable supply chain.

Criteria and priorities

Survey results as of December 31, 2024*1

Supporting the Digital Transformation of suppliers
To promote the digitization of production operations and enable continuous improvement, we have introduced the low-code app development platform “TULIP” to our partner companies as a tool for visualization of paper-based processes, inspection reports, sheets, work instructions, and more. By managing information in a unified platform, companies can resolve problems and abnormalities faster, eliminate careless mistakes and improve work efficiency.

Stronger Communication
The suppliers are at the heart of our supply chain, and communication with them is key to strengthening the operation. In addition to conducting regular interviews, DMG MORI holds biannual briefing sessions for suppliers and publishes the monthly “Partner Magazine” to communicate our sustainability initiatives, safety education, respect for human rights, information security measures, and examples of partner company initiatives.
Information Security
A strong supply chain requires strong information security.
To improve the security level of the entire supply chain, DMG MORI conducts periodical visits of each partner company to check, discuss and strengthen the state of security measures.
In addition, we invite experts to hold seminars and training sessions on information security, organize briefing sessions for suppliers, and share information in our monthly “Partner Magazine” to further raise awareness.
Health Management
Health management is vital for the entire supply chain. Consequently, we issue information, collect and analyze health-related data from our partners, and offer proposals for countermeasures through our Health Management Promotion Committee, including guidance on obtaining certification for excellent health management.
Business Continuity
We are working with our partners on BCP measures against supply chain disruptions that pose a risk to business continuity.

Partner Summit
Every two years, we hold the "Partner Summit" to deepen our friendship with suppliers and honor such companies that have made outstanding contributions to higher product quality and stable parts supply. In 2024, the event was held at Pfronten factory in Germany and joined by more than 90 partners.

Promoting Procurement Based on CSR
We believe that the added value created through CSR initiatives empowers all parties in the supply chain. We established the “DMG MORI CSR Procurement Guidelines” in June 2023 and will continue to promote our CSR activities accordingly.
