DMG MORI Nara Campus 4x Capacity!
The World’s largest System Solution Factory

DMG MORI CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as “DMG MORI”) will start operations at Nara Campus from April 2025 after thorough renovations. The re-opening ceremony was held on Monday, April 14th.

The former Mori Seiki Co., Ltd., was founded in 1948 in Yamato-Koriyama City, Nara Prefecture. Nara had been the center of machine tool production for a long time, and in 2016, we added a 5,000-m² system solution factory. In response to increasing automation demand, we relocated our machine tool production from Nara Campus to Iga Campus (Iga City, Mie Prefecture) and renovated the previous machine assembly area to make room for automation system assembly. Now, this area is four times larger than before with approx. 20,000㎡and makes Nara Campus the world's largest system solution factory in the industry.

Saki Corporation is our group company specializing in AOI systems for AI and EV circuit boards. In February 2025, we integrated them into Nara Campus and began operations. Magnescale Co., Ltd. will be the next group company to join us in Nara as they will open a Laserscale factory in 2026.

Our automation systems are tailored to each customer’s workpiece shape, factory layout, work shifts, and production volumes. At Nara Campus, our engineers realize fully integrated production from design to assembly and acceptance including various functions, such as pallet and workpiece handling. We are a one-stop solution provider for automation systems of the highest quality with a length of more than 100 meters, supported by in-house assembly of control panels and prototypes for electrical cabinets.

Each system is assembled before shipment to thoroughly check its precision and operability in Nara Campus. That way, customers can look forward to trouble-free and fast commissioning of their system after delivery. To handle highly confidential projects, we maintain a high-security environment with strict access controls and surveillance cameras.

Nara Campus consists of three factories (North & South factory, E-cabinet factory) and a six-story office building with approx. 220 employees. Our R&D for automation systems is located on the 3rd and 4th floors. The 5th and 6th floors feature a large seminar room for up to 100 participants, a café for employees, and a library with over 1,200 books. Our factory roofs are equipped with large-scale solar panels that enable sustainable production with renewable energy, including all air conditioning and lighting within the buildings.

Nara Campus is the center of automation system production at DMG MORI, delivering solutions to customers and enhancing productivity worldwide.
