At DMG MORI, we believe that the physical and mental well-being of our employees is essential for the stable operation and sustainable growth of our company. In 2018, we introduced mandatory 12-hour break intervals between working hours. The following year, in 2019, we introduced comprehensive health checkups for all employees, fully covered by the company. In 2020, we transitioned to a completely smoke-free environment across all premises. Additionally, we established an in-house Health Care Promotion Center and released the "DMG MORI Health and Productivity Management Declaration" in 2021. We have further enhanced our efforts by implementing systematic initiatives. These include visualizing internal health data, conducting online seminars for managers, supporting employees requiring a second medical checkup, ensuring adherence to medication, offering health guidance specifically tailored for individuals under 40 years of age, and providing ongoing exercise and nutrition classes.

Recently, we have launched new health initiatives. One example is raising awareness for blood pressure and balanced diet through offering salt-reduced meals at our cafeteria on “Low Sodium Day” (17th of every month). Additionally, after conducting the internal survey on women’s health and work-life balance,” we have introduced paid menstrual leaves to support our female employees. We have also started measures to prevent employees from resigning due to caregiving responsibilities. Globally, we are providing nutritionally balanced lunches at our locations worldwide to support the overall health of our employees.

In accordance with our management philosophy of "Play hard, Study continuously, Work together,’’ we will continue to implement company-wide, systematic health promotion measures to foster strong work engagement and empower each individual to realize their full potential in good health.
