DMG MORI is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and is actively advancing reduction initiatives. These include integrating renewable energy sources such as in-house solar power and CO2-free electricity, adopting electric furnaces in the casting process, and promoting resource recycling of machining chips and scrapped machine materials for reuse as raw casting components.

Additionally, our Machining Transformation (MX) strategy enhances productivity, reduces intermediate inventory and labor shortages, and lowers greenhouse gas emissions by integrating processes, automating production, and implementing digital transformation (DX). These efforts have contributed to our strong recognition in the climate change category. In the water security category, we once again received a Leadership Level “A-” rating for our proactive approach to identifying and managing water risks, as well as our ongoing initiatives in this field.

We believe that advancing our machine tool business, particularly through the promotion of MX, plays a vital role in addressing the global challenge of climate change. Moving forward, we will continue to drive technological innovation and productivity improvements while actively contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.

Details of our sustainability initiatives are available on our website.
