Now on DMG MORI Machines:the "Edge AI Board" with cutting-edge Camera & AI Functions
DMG MORI CO., LTD. (hereinafter DMG MORI) will equip its machine tools with the Digital E3 Core series "Edge AI Board" developed by our subsidiary DMG MORI Digital CO., LTD (President: Yudai Suzuki, Sapporo City).
The "Edge AI Board" features a compact and energy-saving CPU with camera and AI functions, while withstanding even harsh environments characterized by vibration, heat, mist, and electromagnetic noise. Its compact design without fans allows for easy and flexible installation.
Its first implementation will be for DMG MORI “AI Chip Removal”, a supportive product that automatically detects chip accumulations from machining and efficiently removes them by itself, thus preventing machine stops and processing errors to maximize the productiveness of automation systems.
Conventionally, AI processing and coolant nozzle control required a separate IPC and motor control board. Now, the newly developed “Edge AI Board” replaces any additional computing equipment and simply fits inside the e-cabinet to save space and energy.
DMG MORI will continue to address customer needs with highly functional and reliable product releases worth your investment.
