DMG MORI introduces new Safety Glasses made
by RUDY PROJECT

DMG MORI CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as “DMG MORI”) will start providing protective safety glasses made by RUDY PROJECT for use by costumers during factory visits and for our employees from this December.

At DMG MORI, we place the highest priority on the safety and health of our employees and fully commit ourselves to occupational health and safety activities. As a rule, all employees working with actual machinery must wear safety glasses to protect their eyes from flying debris such as chips and liquids. *1The same applies to customers and visitors from Japan and overseas, whether it may be during factory tours, business meetings, test cuts, pre-shipment machine acceptance, or training inside our training facilities.
Our previous conventional protective eyewear often caused eye fatigue due to lens refraction and discomfort from poorly adjustable nose pads and temples. Additionally, the old glasses had limited sizing, making them unsuitable for some people. RUDY PROJECT has been offering safety glasses for more than 20 years to realize a clear field of vision while reducing fatigue even after long periods of time. The adjustable nose pads and temples allow for a better fit to the individual face, and high-quality materials guarantee superior durability.
RUDY PROJECT was founded in Italy in 1985 as a high-performance sports eyewear brand and has been enjoying great popularity among European athletes in the field of cycling, triathlon, marathon, golf, and baseball since. Furthermore, RUDY PROJECT Japan (Nara City) is both distributor in Japan as well as sponsor of the professional DMG MORI SAILING TEAM established in 2018. Skipper Kojiro Shiraishi embarked on the approx. 80-day solo, no-port, no-supply round-the-world race “Vendée Globe2024” on November 10, relying on sunglasses made by RUDY PROJECT. We are convinced of their performance, design, and comfort, and have thus selected them as protective eyewear for standard use at DMG MORI.
The new safety glasses will be distributed sequentially to approx. 1,500 employees*1 mostly engaged in manufacturing and application engineering at Iga and Nara Campus as well as repair and maintenance services for customers nationwide. With their stylish and comfortable design, we aim to motivate our employees while ensuring the highest standards of safety and health for customers from Japan and overseas, creating a better working environment for all.
